These distinctives reflect our theological convictions and guide our teaching, leadership, and ministry practice.

CHURCH DISTINCTIVES
Expositional preaching
We affirm the faithful verse by verse expositional preaching of God’s word, emphasizing that the main point of the text is the main point of the sermon. (2 Timothy 4:1–2; Acts 20:27)
Word-Centred Corporate Worship Gatherings
Our services are shaped by Scripture through singing, praying, reading, preaching, and responding to God’s Word. (1 Timothy 4:13, Acts 2:42)
Prayerful Dependence
We depend on God through prayer, seeking the leading and power of the Holy Spirit in all areas of church life and ministry. (Colossians 4:2; Acts 1:8)
Reformed and Evangelical Conviction
We affirm the historic Reformed theology, emphasizing God’s sovereignty in salvation (Romans 9:15–16; Ephesians 1:3–14; John 3:3; Romans 3:23–24; Ephesians 2:8–9)
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, to the glory of God alone. (Ephesians 2:8, Titus 3:5, Acts 4:12, John 14:6, 2 Timothy 3:16)
Elder-Led Congregational Governance
We believe the church is shepherded by elders and accountable to the congregation under Christ’s headship. (1 Timothy 3:1–7; Hebrews 13:17; Acts 6:1–6)
Membership & Church Discipline
We practice (formal) meaningful one another membership and loving, restorative discipline for the good of the believer, the church, and Christ’s witness. (Romans 12:5, 1 Corinthians 12:25, Hebrews 10:24–25, Ephesians 4:15, Galatians 6:1, Hebrews 12:6; Matthew 18:15-17; 2Thessalonias 3:14-15)
Complementarian Practice
We affirm distinct, complementary roles for men and women in the home and the church. (1 Timothy 2:12; 1 Corinthians 11:3; Ephesians 5:22–33)
Christian Baptism
We practice believer’s baptism by immersion as a sign of union with Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:41; Romans 6:3–4)
Missional
We live as sent people, engaging our city and the nations with the gospel in word and deed. (John 20:21; 1 Peter 2:9–12)
Expressive Worship
We affirm expressive worship that reflects the truth of the Gospel, embracing true freedom in worship. (Psalm 103:1; Romans 12:1; Psalm 149:3)
Cheerful & Generous Giving
We give joyfully, sacrificially, and regularly as an act of worship and trust in God’s gracious provision. (2 Corinthians 9:7; 2 Corinthians 8:3)
